The reputation you have with yourself is your self-image. At some point, everyone experiences feelings of inferiority. The truth is we are all inferior or superior to others in different ways. You possess unique skills, attributes, and talents that are entirely your own. The gifts you’ve been blessed with are amplified by the people you’ve met, the experiences you’ve had, and your connection to divine intelligence.
For instance, the most creative mind might not excel in providing support. The best engineer might not be skilled in the art. The boldest leader might lack humility. The question is not whether you’re smart but how you are smart.
Comparing yourself to others is a losing game. There will always be someone bigger, faster, or wealthier. What we must realize in order to be happy is that everything changes. What is happening now will not stay the same. The only constant in life is change.
At this moment, your feelings of inferiority may be limiting your happiness. If that’s the case, it’s entirely because you haven’t recognized your unique gifts. By focusing on building credibility with yourself, you can learn to love your talents and share them confidently with the world.
"The power of a man's spirit is in direct proportion to a man's loving reputation with himself."
- CM
"However difficult life may seem there is always something you can do and succeed at." - Stephen Hawking
Many a superior brain is blocked by inferior thoughts" -Henry S. Haskins
Ask yourself: How can I best express my unique gifts to someone I care about in order to make their day better?
Action step: Monitor your thoughts for the next 24 hours and determine if you are comparing yourself to others. If you are comparing, figure out what triggers you to think that way.
