Make success an emergency. When you approach your goals with the urgency and emotion that an emergency brings, you unlock a level of awareness that can birth new ideas and breakthroughs.
Emergencies heighten your senses, forcing you to think quickly, and problem-solve creatively, and push beyond your perceived limits. The key to mastering this state of heightened awareness is to challenge yourself with extreme experiences—situations that stretch you beyond your comfort zone. The more you immerse yourself in these challenging moments, the better you will become at transmuting the stress, adrenaline, and intensity of the experience into fast, creative solutions.
If you continually avoid difficult or high-stress situations, you missout on the opportunity to build the mental fortitudeneeded to succeed when it matters most. In emergencies, your body’s survival systems kick in, connecting you instantly to the infinite intelligence that lies within your DNA. These built-in systems enable humanity to tap into deep reserves of creativity, intuition, and strength during times of crisis. However, if you are unfamiliar with how these sensations feel—if you haven’t trained yourself to recognize and utilize them—you may find yourself overwhelmed, unable to access the powerful gifts that come from this heightened state of being.
Within every challenge lies an opportunity for growth. It is only when you step outside of your comfort zone that you can fully realize you’re potential. Everyone will face struggles in their lifetime, but the difference between those who survive and those who thrive lies in their ability to find growth within the challenge. The ones who consciously seek out and embrace discomfort are the ones who become masters of adversity.
A master is someone who has trained themselves to unconsciously anticipate problems and effortlessly channel challenges into opportunities for success. A master knows that urgency is constant because time is finite. For them, success is not a far-off goal but an emergency that requires immediate action and attention. And yet, they are at peace with this urgency, knowing that it drives them to new heights and deeper growth.
